A global partnership...
In 2010, Dr. Eric Larsen founded NEXT, a global ministry of the Presbyterian Church in America tasked with developing and supporting missionaries and national partners, as well as their children, in the work of reaching the next generation.
A key component of this vision is the Next Institute, a global partnership of youth workers, academics, and institutions collaborating together to think deeply about the work of ministry to the emerging generations of our world. Because we believe young people are made in the image of God, and have the agency to affect their world now as well as in the future, we are not content entertaining or containing, but seek to apply the rich disciplines of theology, sociology, developmental psychology, cultural studies, and pedagogy to see the youth of our world flourish as followers of Jesus and bringers of restoration.
The Next Institute exists in educational institutions in the United States, Mexico, Scotland, Japan, and online at www.youthministrythinking.com.
